Fatigue – What is the Mind-Body Connection?
Other Names: Lethargy, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
We become tired when our body, mind and souls are not equally engaged in what we are doing in life. When we do not feel a sense of purpose in what we are doing or when the mind rules over our hearts or bodies, we become imbalanced because some part of us has to compensate by disengaging whilst another forces or pushes us to keep going. It is this imbalance that causes us to feel tired and drained.
Fatigue can be related to any of the following:
- You are not learning what you need to learn from your present situation so you can not move on and create new things for yourself.
- You are feeling weighed down by life because you think you can’t have what you want. This makes you feel tired and defeated.
- You do not feel like your life has purpose or meaning so it becomes a chore or a mechanical existence.
- Your mind has pushed you beyond your physical capabilities so your body is telling you that you need to rest and refocus your energy in a more efficient way.
