Overall Concept – What is the meaning of this chakra?
The heart is centre of your emotional power, where love and compassion are both given and received. This chakra is our emotional sensor so it tells us whether we feel loved or wounded.
Problems with this chakra arise when there is a limited experience of love, either receiving or giving love. For example, doing something when your “heart is not in it”, a feeling that you are unworthy of being loved, a witholding of love or affection from others, or a lack of loving feeling toward certain people or life in general.
The challenge of this chakra is to learn the language of love – how to give and receive it equally.
